Where Lansing's auto plants meet I-96, I-69 and I-496
Lansing is an auto-manufacturing city built around two General Motors assembly plants. The Lansing Grand River plant, a 111-acre, 3.4-million-square-foot complex on Townsend Street, builds luxury sedans, and the Lansing Delta Township plant, 320 acres and 3.6 million square feet on Millett Highway, builds the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia. Both plants cycle inbound parts and outbound vehicles on tight schedules over I-96, I-69 and I-496, the R.E. Olds Freeway that loops through downtown and past Michigan State University.
That volume of finished vehicles sitting in storage lots is a target. At about 3 a.m. on February 27, 2024, eight new vehicles were stolen from the Delta Township plant's storage lot; two were later found abandoned, unoccupied, on eastbound I-69 near Bath Township. Michigan State Police and the Eaton and Ingham county sheriff's departments all responded but couldn't locate the rest. For any yard that stages vehicles, trailers or equipment overnight, the same gap applies: nobody watching until the next shift arrives.
Sigma keeps a Lansing yard covered live, night and day, including weekends and holidays, with AI person and vehicle detection watching for movement around parked vehicles or equipment. An agent confirms it on camera, talks down whoever is there live and instantly, and calls police with the recorded evidence. Agents can also run the gate for carriers picking up parts or finished vehicles, logging every truck that comes and goes.

FAQ
Lansing monitoring questions
Can you monitor a storage lot near Lansing's Grand River or Delta Township plants?
Yes. Agents watch every camera live, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including nights, weekends and holidays. AI person and vehicle detection flags movement around parked vehicles or equipment, and an agent verifies it, gives a live, instant talk-down and escalates to police and your contacts.
Can your agents run the gate for carrier trucks at our Lansing yard?
Yes. Agents see each arrival on camera, speak to the driver through the site's speakers, check them against your pickup lists and open the gate remotely for expected trucks. Every visit is logged with the time and a snapshot.
We're not near Sigma's base in Ontario. Can you still monitor our Lansing site?
Yes. The service runs over your site's internet connection, so being outside Ontario doesn't matter. Sigma's technicians travel to Lansing to install cameras and speakers, and many cameras already on site can often be connected as well. The power, internet connection and gate stay on your side.
How do I get started?
