Davis Drive, the 404 and Highway 425

Newmarket connects to the 400-series highways on both sides. Highway 404 runs along the east of town with interchanges at Davis Drive and Mulock Drive, Highway 400 is reached to the west by Highway 9, and CN's Newmarket Subdivision carries freight through town. The Town counts more than 41,000 local jobs, with manufacturing among its key sectors and employers such as Magna, Celestica and Mars Canada. Highway 425, under construction as 16.3 km of new freeway linking Highway 400 to Highway 404, will meet the 404 near Queensville.
