Wilmer sits on I-45 with quick reach to I-20 and I-35, plus US Routes 175 and 67, and the planned Loop 9 project is meant to tie those three interstates together. Verisk CargoNet's Thanksgiving 2025 advisory separately named Dallas County, which includes Wilmer, as one of four US counties — alongside two in California and one in Illinois — warranting particular attention for cargo theft.
